Saib Ahmed has done makeup for Nainital Ramlila artists for 44 years
Since 1982, Saib Ahmed has prepared every character of the Tallital Ramlila for the stage, a role artists still trust him with.
Saib Ahmed has been doing the makeup for performers at the historic Tallital Ramlila in Nainital, Uttarakhand, every year since 1982, Awaz The Voice reported on 18 October 2026. He works alone, preparing each character according to the role before they go on stage. Artists who play Bharat and Sumant have relied on him for years. Ahmed says he has loved theatre since childhood and waits all year for the Ramlila season.
