Bijnor village postpones Ramlila after death of Gafuran Bua, 85
Mohda's Ramlila committee paused its show for a day to mourn an elderly Muslim woman the whole village loved.
The Adarsh Ramlila Committee in Mohda village of Dhampur, Bijnor, postponed its Ramlila performance by one day on October 10 after news came that Gafuran Bua, 85, had died. She was a Muslim woman known and loved across the village. The committee said nobody demanded the change and there was no dispute behind it. Members said the show could be held another day, and chose to stand with the grieving family instead.
